"I Could Tell You But Then You Would Have To Be Destroyed By Me" and other titles

I had the opportunity to hear Trevor Paglen speak a few years ago at Temple University.  I really didn't know too much about the guy other than he wrote a couple books that seemed to poke and prod at the US government where many others have never had the guts to explore.

Torture Taxi: On the Trail of the CIA's Rendition Flights was the main book Trevor spoke about and at the time, just released.  He explained how he sleuthed his way into the lives of CIA agents, figured out what their 'secret' missions were and even tracked down their John Hancocks for an art exhibit - in fact, Trevor isn't really out to whistleblow the gov't deeds, he's more about the artistic side of this.  Yes, something I never really considered.

I Could Tell You But Then You Would Have To Be Destroyed By Me, Trevor went through a number of mysterious patches, logos, jewelry worn by different branches and groups within the military to bring out the truth to their meanings.  Some, not very pretty.  Lots of top secret stuff there.  75 de-classified patches explained...really turns seeing into believing.

*Trevor even explored what was beyond the famous Ansel Adams photographs.  By beyond, I mean in the distance.  He used a super-duper (yes, this is the technical term) lens with night vision to capture the eerie gov't happenings beyond the beautiful backdrops Adams famously captured.  Really cool stuff.
