To those of you living in the Northeast, you can attest to the almost unlivable Summer heat and humidity we've been experiencing. So I got the heck out of Philadelphia this past weekend and headed north to my dad's house. Muffin (my new pup) was so overwhelmed and overjoyed at the new scents and sounds that she ended up tuckering herself out everyday very quickly. She even had her first swim (more on that later)! Mama's proud of her little baby <-- yes, I'm that kind of dog owner.
My dad's vegetable garden is producing! Egglplant, green squash, onions, peppers, zucchini and cucumbers! I'm really looking forward to nice tomatoes on my return. Nothing like a couple rounds of horseshoes, canned beer, nice weather and a good breakfast to get you refreshed before the week starts. I hope you had a wonderful weekend, too!
