Wissahickon Valley Park is part of the Fairmount Park system here in Philadelphia. Fun fact: Fairmount Park is one of the largest urban park systems in the United States! Muffin-the-dog loves breaking the rules and running off leash on the trails. She even spotted a snake (I put her leash on near the critter) and eyed up a few ducks bathing in the creek. After about 45 minutes of hiking she got brave and jumped into the water to cool off!
This was last weekend and a late report of it, of course. Not sure what is in store for this weekend.
Bastille Day is happening and will be celebrated on Fairmount Ave.
Franklin Fountain ice cream is always a good pick.
Indego is still on the to-do list.
I'll let you know how it goes ;) Have a great weekend!
fantastic. minus the snake. are they poisonous?
ReplyDeleteThough snakes scare me, it was really cool to see one soaking up some sun and heat from the rocks. This variety is harmless
DeleteHow close did she get to the snake? I can't imagine many dogs really fancy it, they look kinda scary to even them I think!
ReplyDeleteBuckets & Spades
Oh believe me, I used ZOOM big time!
DeleteOh wow, I'd definitely not be alright that close to a snake. But everything else sounds like a lot of fun! :)
