'Kesh Angels: Female Motorcycle Gang

Hassan Hajjaj's first exhibition in NYC showcases the 'Kesh Angels.  His work intends to pay tribute to the biker culture of the young women of Marrakesh in Morocco and make a stand against gender violence.

"Hajjaj uses his friends as models, and he designs their outfits with traditional prints and counterfeit brand-name fabrics from markets in London and Marrakesh. He also builds the frames for these pictures from found objects: Legos with Arabic lettering, cans of Fanta, boxes of chicken stock." more here

  1. This is most bizarre but good to learn about, something new to me.

  2. These are hella cool. Maybe I should join a motorcycle gang... Kind of lack any of the requisite skills (including the ability to ride a motorbike) but details. I'm with you on grammar - if you're communicating clearly who cares?
