Praise the Land Rover and Some Surfing in Scotland

Passing Place to The North Shore of Britain: A Tribute to One of the Last Defenders is a great little video paying homage to a timeless vehicle built for adventure.  Passing through beautiful countryside and breathtaking coastlines in pursuit of the next wave.  Worth a watch.  Dreaming about the weekend...

What I Saw Today: Jeeps!

Wagoneers: is it a wagon or a SUV?  The debate continues and the aficionados will argue.  As the years progress and the design gets worse, we'll say that it evolves into the typical modern day SUV.

It was noteworthy for being in production for more than 28 years with only minor mechanical changes. This amounted to the longest continuous automotive production run, on the same platform, in US automotive history, excepting the Dodge Ram Van.

Moving Art

photographed by Matthew Chase-Daniel

Once an old Hostess delivery truck now an art exhibit.  This truck brings art to the highways and streets near you, at least if you live around Santa Fe.  Known as Axle Contemporary, this little guy (cars/trucks are usually referred to as "little guys" for me) is literally art on wheels.  The exterior is modern and sleek, but the interior speaks to the soul.  It features local artwork and  many other interesting artists, Paula Castillo being my favorite.
